The Daughters of Penelope — founded in 1929 as part of the AHEPA Family — continue to inspire through Hellenism, education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, and family. The Order of the Daughters of Penelope is non-partisan and non-denominational. We are the women’s organization of the AHEPA (American Hellenic Progressive Association) with headquarters in Washington D.C. The Daughters of Penelo
pe is a leader in philanthropic, educational and cultural endeavors. Our objectives are to promote the social, ethical and intellectual interest of our members and to the surrounding communities in which we live; to encourage Hellenic study and the dissemination and preservation of Hellenic culture; and to cultivate citizenship and patriotism in the United States, Canada, Greece, Cyprus and other countries where our chapters exist. Offering aid to those in need is also an essential part of our programming. The Daughters of Penelope are contributing members to their local communities and promote the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood.
