The Soup Kitchen was proud to send hundreds of filled backpacks to a school in Miami-Dade County for families connected with the Miami-Dade Foster Parent Association.
Every backpack represents more than school supplies—it is a reminder to a child that their community is behind them and cheering them on. ❤️📚

The Soup Kitchen mourns the passing of our dear friend and longtime Board President, Tom Ellis, Jr. For 13 years, Tommy offered dedicated service, leadership, compassion, and unwavering support to our mission and to the people we serve. He was far more than our Board President—he was a trusted colleague, a steadfast advocate, and a cherished friend to so many in the TSK family.

Tommy’s impact on The Soup Kitchen and our community will remain a lasting part of his legacy. With deepest gratitude for all he gave and with great affection from all of us, may he rest in peace. Tommy will be deeply missed.
