At our meeting on June 4, we welcomed Sergeant Andrew Taylor of the Wood County Sheriff's Office as our Deputy of the Year. June is "Safety Forces Month." Sergeant Taylor spoke inspiringly and informatively about his career, his approach to law enforcement, and his concern about the challenges of social media. He assured us that the confrontations between law officers and the public that make it to social media are rare in his experience.
