Big news for our household waste! 🌱We just built a dedicated space for household composting. Instead of sending scraps to the landfill, we are turning them into nutrient-rich soil. Here is what we are collecting in the new compost area:
🥔 Potato peels
🥚 Eggshells
☕ Coffee grounds
🍎 Fruit and veggie scraps
This small change will help us reduce our environmental footprint right from home. 📍Located at the southwest corner of the property

Help Our Non-Profit Community Garden Build a bare root Tree Nursery! 🌳
Hi neighbors and local business owners,As a non-profit community garden, our mission is to make fresh food and green spaces accessible to everyone in our neighborhood. We are launching a bare root tree nursery to grow Moringa trees. To get operational, we urgently need donations of a few heavy-duty materials. Because we are a registered non-profit, we can provide donation receipts for tax purposes!

We are looking for:Large orchard boxes: To build sturdy, raised holding beds for the saplings
Truckload of soil: High-quality topsoil, compost, or planting mix. Wire mesh / hardware cloth: For the bottom of the growing box to air prune the trees and also to protect the sprouting trees from pests .If your business has surplus inventory, or if you have extra materials in your yard, you can help us grow a canopy that benefits our whole neighborhood for decades. Please comment below or send a direct message to coordinate. Thank you for growing with us!

Ideas are turning into reality!

Turning a bare, weed-filled lot into a vibrant garden takes clear steps: clearing the land, building healthy soil, and planting seeds and trees . This transformation brings life, color, and peace to an empty space.

Next steps- Expanding the growing space/ creating the parking lot

The western side of the lot has gravel scattered about that needs to be moved along the west side of the road. This will provide a clear spot to expand the garden and also make us a nice gravel parking lot!
If you have the equipment and little extra time we would greatly appreciate your help. You can stop by anytime you like. We have a few volunteers that are willing to come lend a helping hand!
