Farm Day is coming up soon! Along with lots of farm animals there will be vendors looking forward to sharing information with visitors and showcasing their work. Come meet: Snapdragon Homestead, Highlands Search and Rescue, Wilderness Miracles Wildlife Rehab, Coyote Live in Maine, MSSPA, Skybird Wildlife Center, Walnut Hill Garden Club, Ag Allies and Pottery of Maine and Southern Maine Astronomers.

I’m sure that Little Opey would approve!! We miss him terribly, but he would want us to continue our education on his species!!! We have transferred Ziggy from Wilderness Miracles Wildlife Rehab to Wilderness Miracles education center….
Duck Pond Wildlife Care Education Center!!!!

Ziggy came to us with Metabolic Bone Disease. He has been here for a few months, receiving treatment and a special diet. He has been to his Veterinarian and she agrees that he is nonreleasable, and would be an amazing ambassador!!!
Ziggy and I will be planning some events soon!!!! Stay tuned!!

We’ve been really sad around here after the loss of Little Opey…..😔😔

Meet Mr. Ziggy, he just saw his veterinarian, Dr. Kim. Stay tuned as you will be hearing more about Ziggy and his story!!!

This morning, was a very hard morning! When Auntie Sheri went out to feed Little Opey, she noticed that something was not right. I went out to his home….it wasn’t right….Little Opey had passed away, in his sleep last night.
He was sooo loved by many, he educated soooo many people, and he had a wonderful life!!!
RIP Little Opey, you were amazing at being the coolest dude…EVER!!! 💜💜 Momma Kat will miss you!!!

BUT TODAY……Momma opened the door and I went outside to do Virginia Opossum stuff….you know, climbing, sleeping in the sun….EATING BUGS…
It was a beautiful day!!! Now it’s time for bed!!
