🥫 4-H Canned Construction at Shawnee Community College 🏗

Join us for the 2025 4-H Canned Construction Event at Shawnee Community College’s L-Atrium, where creativity, teamwork, and community service come together for a great cause. Participants will design and build structures entirely out of canned goods, which will later be donated to local food pantries.

📅 Event Schedule:
🔹 Can Construction Setup:
• November 9 | 2–5 PM
• November 10 | 10 AM–6 PM

🔹 Public Viewing & Judging:
• November 12 | 8–10 AM

🏆 Awards will be announced via Facebook and emailed to leaders on November 12.

Following the event, all canned goods will be packaged by 4-H Teen Leaders and distributed to local food pantries, supporting families across our communities.

Final results of all disciplines

The 2025 Illinois 4-H Shooting Sports State Competitions brought together top youth marksmen from across Illinois for a season of precision, skill, and sportsmanship. With 14,474 shots scored across all disciplines, this year’s events showcased the strength and dedication of 4-H members statewide.

Congratulations to this year’s top competitors:

Shotgun (Brittany Shooting Park)
▪️Individual: 1st Chase Garey (Woodford County), 2nd Parker Logan (Macoupin County), 3rd Erin Federle (Macoupin County)
▪️County Team: 1st Macoupin County, 2nd Piatt County, 3rd Adams County

Archery
▪️County Team: 1st Whiteside County, 2nd Macoupin County, 3rd McHenry County
▪️Senior Compound: 1st Tripp Higgins (Shelby County), 2nd Isaac Mohr (Henderson County), 3rd Jake Glasgow (Brown-Schuyler County)

Small Bore Pistol (virtual)
▪️Staunton Road Rangers 4-H Club (Madison County) led the way with outstanding performances by Evelyn Bremer, Ryan Dissett, and Titus Cloninger

Air Rifle (Bloomington)
▪️DeKalb County swept the top three: 1st Lillie Harper, 2nd Mark Pritchard, 3rd Reese Harper
