Pastor Jackman may call it a “Band-Aid” solution on a gushing wound, but for the 1,631 members of his church’s community for whom their medical debt was bought and forgiven, this act of charity has been life changing.
Real, long-term change means ending medical debt for all… for good. And that requires advocating for systemic changes to how our country treats its people — even before an unexpected hospital visit puts someone in debt.
Now, Pastor Jackman is hoping others will join his congregation’s movement to contact their elected officials and demand change. We couldn’t agree more.
