At Love Your Magic, we spend a lot of time reminding girls and femmes to care for themselves with the same intention they bring to caring for everyone else.

So, we’re taking our own advice. 💖

From August 19th through September 8th, our team is taking a summer pause — time to rest, refill our cups, water our own gardens, and make a little room for joy.

Because rest isn’t stepping away from the work. It’s part of what makes the work possible.

We’ll be back after Labor Day, restored and ready for all the magic ahead.

Until then, we hope you find a little space to tend to yourself, too.

Rest. Restore. Refill. Your magic will be waiting. ✨

Our hearts are full. Summer camp officially wrapped last week, here are a few pictures from our time together.

Summer camp also marked the launch of this year’s theme, “The Magic Was Always You,” in honor of our 10th anniversary. The theme invites Black and Brown girls and femmes to recognize the magic they already carry within themselves. As we celebrate ten years of Love Your Magic, this theme is a reminder that we don’t create the magic in our girls and femmes, we amplify it.

This magic is collective. It’s mirrored by the caregivers and communities that pour into them, and it’s what has carried Love Your Magic for a decade and will continue to carry us forward.

Congratulations to Love Your Magic, a 2026 Women’s Fund of Essex County grantee!

Girls deserve spaces where they can care for their well-being, build confidence, and learn to advocate for themselves.

With support from The Women’s Fund, Love Your Magic will bring its "Be Well Retreats" to girls in Lynn and Lawrence. These eight-week experiences are designed to nurture mental health and wellness through yoga, meditation, healing circles, dance, and community connection. Created especially to support Black and Brown girls as they navigate adolescence, the retreats offer a welcoming environment where participants can explore self-love, self-care and the tools that help them feel grounded and empowered.

We are honored to invest in programs that affirm girls’ voices and help them recognize their own strength.

Congratulations, Love Your Magic! Thank you for creating spaces where girls can grow, heal and thrive.💙🧡💛

At Love Your Magic, the well-being of our girls is always at the center of everything we do. The Love Your Magic Summer Camp was born during the pandemic to create a space for Black and Brown girls to be in community with each other during such an isolating time. We transitioned into an in-person summer camp that centers the well-being of our girls by creating a space for them to learn, play, and be fully themselves.

This year marks our 10th year as an organization and our 5th in-person summer camp, and under the theme 'The Magic Was Always You,' we're reflecting on everything our girls have grown into and everything they've always carried.

Thank you WBZ / CBS News Boston and Levan Reid for shining a light on our mission and magic!

The group says the camp offers a transformative experience for Black and Brown girls. WBZ-TV's Levan Reid went to the camp in Carver.

We just closed out our summer session of All About (Self) Love. A space where girls didn’t just learn about self-love, they defined it, questioned it, and made it their own!

All About Self Love is a program designed for Black and Brown girls and femmes in upper elementary to define, critique, explore and develop ways to love themselves more deeply through an examination of self, their ancestors, their communities and how they can grow a deeper commitment to their journey of self love.

This program will run from Monday July 20th through Thursday July 23rd.

Last week, our Belonging and Becoming Fellows traveled to Cartagena, Colombia for our annual Black Girlhood Globally trip. In partnership with Fundación Alex Rocha, girls on both sides of the diaspora came together for a wellness workshop rooted in breathwork and storytelling. They reflected on what it means to move through the world as Black and Brown girls and femmes and found community in one another.

Our fellows also visited Palenque, the first free African town in the Americas, where they learned about the rich history of its people and the powerful ways in which that history is being preserved and carried forward today.

Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate freedom and remind ourselves of our responsibility to continuously build it.
