Every Farm to School program has a story.

Through the Massachusetts FRESH Grant Program, schools across the Commonwealth are creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect with fresh, local food through school gardens, taste tests, nutrition education, farm visits, and partnerships with local farmers.

Programs like this demonstrate how targeted investments can help schools build healthier communities while supporting Massachusetts agriculture.

We're proud to celebrate the incredible work happening across the state and the educators, students, and community partners making it possible.

Summer is one of the busiest seasons for Massachusetts farmers and it's also a reminder of how important local agriculture is to our communities.

Farm to School helps connect schools with local farms, giving students access to fresh, seasonal foods while creating new market opportunities for Massachusetts farmers.

As we look ahead to a new school year, we're celebrating the farms that make this work possible.
