Documenting patterns and instances of dating abuse in all its forms can be an important step for some survivors. It may help preserve information for legal purposes, while also providing clarity and validation when processing complex experiences.

Approaches to documentation can look different for everyone, and should always prioritize personal safety. Explore ways to document abuse and access additional resources: https://bit.ly/3YTgXyXhttps://bit.ly/3YTgXyX

Family annihilation is when someone chooses to murder multiple family members in close succession, usually a spouse and children.

💔 A Tough Reminder This Morning

On Tuesday morning, Shreveport Police officers responded to a major accident that stemmed from a domestic dispute in the 300 block of West 71st Street.

In far too many of these situations, our officers are left picking up the pieces of families on their worst day.

In this case, the child’s father was arrested, and officers took custody of the child until Child Protective Services arrived to ensure the child’s safety.

We are asking—no, begging—parents to think about the impact your decisions have on your children. Domestic violence doesn’t just affect those involved in the moment—it leaves lasting trauma on the children who witness it.

Think before you act. Protect your children. Break the cycle.

At Alliance for HOPE International, we ACT to mitigate the impact of domestic violence through specialized, life-saving pathways:

Family Justice Center Alliance helps communities build Centers that make the path to justice and healing achievable.

Camp HOPE America provides a hope-centered community and year-round mentoring to break the cycle of generational trauma.

The Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention equips professionals to identify and take action against near-fatal strangulation assault.

The Justice Project advocates for truth and accountability in cases of suspicious deaths and non-fatal strangulation.

DomesticShelters.org connects victims to immediate safety through the largest searchable database of shelters in North America.

The National VOICES Survivor Network ensures survivor expertise leads the way in community and legislative change.

Will you act with us? Your support allows us to expand these services and ensure every survivor is heard, believed, and protected.
