Your Help is needed
Neighbors Helping Neighbors was established in 2007. We operate under an agreement with the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. On average NHN serves over 230 Families each month or 640 individuals. As a not-for-profit we operate on donations of food and monies from members and businesses within our community. According to 2010 U.S. Census
14.7% of families residing i

n Cooper County live below the federal poverty level. 16.1% living in Boonville are "food insecure" and for New Franklin the rate is 12.6%. What that means is 2725 people do not know where their next meal is coming from! With the average cost of a meal $2.49 for each person it only takes a little on everyone's part to make a big difference. Volunteers are vital to the success of the Food Pantry. Volunteers provide an average of 428 hours of service per month. We are always looking for those willing to serve whether an hour or a distribution, your time will be greatly appreciated.

Check out this wonderful resource for the community!

What started as a simple idea to help our community has officially turned into something beautiful. ❤️

We are so excited to announce that Royal Wardrobe will officially be opening to the community on June 2nd from 8AM–11AM running in sync with the NHN Food Bank!

While we continue praying and working toward opening our future storefront down the block, we will currently be operating directly out of the church using the organized clothing bins and setup we’ve worked so hard to prepare. And honestly, we’re just thankful to begin. God has already been moving through every donation, every volunteer, and every encouraging word.

We also want to proudly introduce and celebrate our Royal Wardrobe ministry leaders Liz and Amy! 🎉
These two have poured so much heart, organization, compassion, and prayer into this outreach already, and we are incredibly thankful for their willingness to serve our community with love and dignity.

Royal Wardrobe is more than clothing.
It’s about reminding people they are seen, valued, and cared for.

👕 Free clothing for individuals and families
📋 Food stamp applications available
💡 LIHEAP applications available to help with electric and gas bills
❄️ Information/resources for AC unit assistance
❤️ A welcoming environment centered around compassion and dignity

📍 811 E. Morgan Street – Boonville
📅 June 2 | 8AM–11AM
🚪 Please enter through the side door at the alley.

This may start with bins inside a church building, but we believe God can grow small beginnings into something powerful for our city. We can’t wait to welcome the community through the doors.

The kids are alright! The dedicated youth of Cooper County 4-H 🍀donated a group record of 456 pounds of food and almost $250! The kids are so busy their leaders made the delivery. 🚚 NHN could not do what we do without people who care about our mission of helping those who are food insecure in the community. 🫶💚
