“Watching Heroes smiling like a little kid driving the boat and catching fish. We caught fish and enjoyed the awesome scenery. After we spent the day on the water, we went and had a great meal down the street. It was a very memorable day. I can’t thank Justin enough for thinking of me and my sons.” Tom B. Veteran

“My wife and I were treated to a day on the water. We had a really nice time. The weather was great. We enjoyed a nice lunch while we relaxed and took in the beauty of the scenery. We topped off the day by enjoying a great meal and a few drinks at a local restaurant. Rob Veteran

The fishing /boating outing will be captured on video so the memories can be relived for many years to come.

Making some great headway on the boat project new seats came in compliments of pioneer Valley environmental 🙏🙏reconditioning the center steering console needed a major facelift. Found the additional railing we needed to maximize fishing platform on the deck for our friends in wheelchairs. It fits perfect. I lucked out Things are really starting to come together. We still need your support. There’s so much more. We still need to do a lot of work to the boat to get it ready for the water. Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped clean up our communities. We didn’t receive any photo submissions this past week, so there will not be a weekly winner announced from last week.

The grand prize winner 🏆 will still be announced soon!

As roadside growth makes cleanup more difficult, we are officially ending this year’s challenge. Please keep doing your part to help keep our towns clean.

If you’d like to continue supporting our mission, donations to Heroes on the Quabbin help us take veterans and our friends in wheelchairs out on the water for fishing, boating, and sightseeing.

You can make your donation right here on Facebook or on our website at heroesonthequabbin.org/donate.

Thank you again for being part of the Dirty Nip Challenge 3: Spring Sweep.

I saw my friend Pam posted in Facebook she needed help with her wheelchair . front right wheel fell off. She was in a pinch so I went and saw her the next morning around 8 o’clock brought my tools haven’t seen her in years probably since high school. Took off the wheel
The inner bearing and axle was destroyed fortunately, I had two parts left over from a lawnmower repair with me that I was able to use to reinstall the wheel. Pam is one of our kind contributors to heroes on the Quabbin. She gives what she can and I’m really grateful. Can’t wait to get this boat done to get Pam out on the water to give her a couple of hours of real happiness and a lot of laughs. Please support heroes on the Quabbin.

Friends, meet Pamela. ❤️

Pamela is one of the many reasons why this mission means so much to us.

Because of your generosity, support, prayers, and belief in what we’re building, we continue moving closer and closer to our goal: getting our pontoon boat out on the water.

This isn’t just about a boat. It’s about creating moments that many people never get the opportunity to experience.

It’s about giving our friends who use wheelchairs the chance to get out on the water, feel the breeze, cast a line, share some laughs, and simply enjoy a peaceful day of fishing surrounded by community.

Every donation, every share, every encouraging word has helped move this vision forward.

None of this would be possible without you.

Pamela, along with so many others, reminds us why we started in the first place. We are incredibly grateful for each and every person who has poured into this mission, believed in it, and helped carry it forward.

You are not just supporting a project.
You are helping create memories, experiences, and moments that matter.

From the bottom of our hearts… thank you. 🎣💙
