This proud floofer is officially going to be called ~ M A U I ~ šŸŒŗ His horns curl in like Mauiā€™s hook, so it just felt right!

Weā€™ve had him for almost two weeks now, and heā€™s settling in more and more each day. We recently moved him to a pasture that shares a fence line with the other sheep and goats. He was not a happy camper during quarantine, but he seems much happier now that he can see and sniff his new herd from across the fence.

Maui came to us with a very heavy parasite load, so heā€™s been on medication and, fingers crossed, will be cleared next week. The vet is also coming next Thursday for his vaccinations and neutering! Until we get all of that cleared, heā€™ll have to remain solo for everyoneā€™s safety.

For now, he spends his days walking the fence line, checking out his new friends, and head-butting every temporary shade solution we put out for himā€¦ so thatā€™s been super fun for me. šŸ˜‚

We feel so lucky to be able to add this sweet boy to our family. ā¤ļø And thank you SO much to everyone who has helped with his upcoming vet bill. We couldnā€™t do this without you! šŸ«¶

Where has the time gone? Arlo and Zoe our little Holsteins. We used to be able to carry them, roll around, and play hide and seek with them. These were the most perferct days. Sadly most male Holsteins very rarely get the chance to live their lives and enjoy the futures they should have. The dairy industry is a very rough place to be for any Holstein. Our goal is to have a herd that knows as much love as Arlo and Zoe have experienced. Slow and steady we will do as much as we can to keep saving these precious babies.

Happy National Dog Day. Life would just be so boring without dogs šŸ•. They are such a joy to have even when they arenā€™t lol. Rescuing dogs and adopting these sweet babies has been such a blessing and we are so thankful to have the space to integrate them into our lives. To those who have passed we know they are still with us in spirit and we love and miss them everyday. To those with us now we love you and will always keep you safe and protected. To those yet to come into our life. We canā€™t wait to have you join the pack! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
