Idaho Jewish Alliance

Idaho Jewish Alliance Our mission is to fight antisemitism and antizionism in Idaho

In wake of the tragic events of October 7, 2023 in the State of Israel, the “Idaho Stands with Israel Coalition” is to show the support of Idahoans:
• standing with Israel in the fight of terrorism,
• the demand for the immediate release of hostages held by the terrorist organization Hamas,
• and the overall voice from Idaho that we, as a people, as Americans, have zero tolerance, and say “NO

” to anti-Semitism*! Everyone, of all backgrounds, political views, ethnicity, and religion, are encouraged to come together, as Americans, in support of Israel and to show our solidarity with the people of Israel and Israel’s right to defend it’s people, it’s borders and it’s existence as the Jewish State.

Here’s a Shabbat message crafted in the tone you often use for Idaho Jewish Alliance—grounded, uplifting, and connected to community and Israel:

Shabbat Shalom, Idaho.

As the sun begins to set over our beautiful Gem State and the light softens across the Boise foothills, we are reminded of the quiet gift that is Shabbat.

In a world that feels loud, fast, and often uncertain, Shabbat invites us to pause. To breathe. To reconnect — with Hashem, with family, with community, and with ourselves.

The Torah tells us:

“V’shamru Bnei Yisrael et haShabbat…” — “The Children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath.” (Exodus 31:16)

Shabbat has kept our people for generations — through deserts and exiles, through challenge and triumph. And here in Idaho, thousands of miles from Jerusalem, we are part of that same unbroken chain.

Whether you’re lighting candles in Boise, gathering with friends in Meridian, spending time up north, or simply carrying a quiet Jewish pride in your heart — you are not alone. We are building something meaningful here. Rooted. Proud. Connected.

May this Shabbat bring you:
• Rest from the week behind you
• Strength for the week ahead
• Peace in your home
• And hope for Israel and the Jewish people everywhere

From our Idaho Jewish Alliance family to yours —

Shabbat Shalom. 🕯️✨

Shabbat Shalom, Idaho ❤️

As the week winds down and we step into the peace of Shabbat, we’re reminded of the gift of pause.

In a world that constantly pulls at our attention, Shabbat calls us back — to family, to community, to gratitude, and to Hashem. It is a sacred reset, a weekly reminder that our worth is not measured by productivity, but by presence.

Here in Idaho, whether you’re gathering around a full table, lighting candles quietly at home, or simply taking a moment to breathe — know that you are part of something larger. A community rooted in Torah, strengthened by connection, and proud of our heritage.

May this Shabbat bring you:
✨ Rest from the noise
✨ Joy in simple moments
✨ Strength for the week ahead
✨ And a deep sense of Jewish pride

From our Idaho Jewish Alliance family to yours —
Shabbat Shalom u’Mevorach.

There’s a Jewish teaching that reminds us we’re never meant to stand alone — Kol Yisrael arevim zeh bazeh — all of Israel is responsible for one another.

In moments of calm and in moments of challenge, our strength comes from community, from showing up, and from remembering who we are and where we come from. May this week bring steadiness, clarity, and connection, and may we continue to support one another with intention and heart.

From all of us at the Idaho Jewish Alliance, wishing our community strength and peace as we move forward together. 💙

As the sun sets and Shabbat arrives, we pause together—wherever we are across Idaho—to breathe, reflect, and reconnect. This past week may have brought its share of challenges and noise, but Shabbat invites us to slow down and remember what anchors us: family, community, gratitude, and hope.

May this Shabbat bring rest to tired minds, comfort to heavy hearts, and moments of genuine joy around our tables. May it strengthen the bonds that hold our Jewish community together and remind us that we are never alone—we are truly b’yachad.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, restorative, and meaningful Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom from all of us at the Idaho Jewish Alliance 💙✨
