The Idaho Black Community Alliance
was honored to partner with the American Red Cross of Idaho and East Oregon and stand alongside so many amazing nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders who share a common goal: serving our community better together.

When organizations come together, we create something bigger than any one of us could accomplish alone. We build relationships, share resources, strengthen partnerships, and create opportunities that have a lasting impact on the people we serve.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with a spirit of collaboration and a heart for community. It was inspiring to be in a room filled with people who believe that meaningful change happens when we work together.

A special thank you to The Green Room & ComedySportz Boise for graciously opening your space and helping make this gathering possible. Your generosity created the perfect environment for meaningful conversations, new connections, and stronger partnerships.

🎒✏️ Back-to-School Community Event — We Need Your Support! ✏️🎒

The Idaho Black Community Alliance is excited to partner with Young Elites, a new local business, for a FREE Back-to-School Community Event on Saturday, August 15, from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM at 1440 W. Bannock St., Boise).

We’re bringing families together for a day of support, connection, and preparation for the school year with:

✨ School supplies
🎨 Arts & crafts and activities
🍎 Snacks and refreshments
💇🏾 Free simple haircuts and basic braids (while supplies and availability last)

We are looking for:

🙋🏾 Volunteers to help support the event
✂️ Stylists and braiders willing to donate their time and talents
👨‍👩‍👧 Families interested in signing up their children to attend
This is a great opportunity to support local families, uplift a new local business, and help create a positive start to the school year.

What an incredible Juneteenth weekend! ❤️🖤💚

As CEO of the Idaho Black Community Alliance, my heart is full of gratitude.

We kicked off the weekend with our Community Movie Night on Friday, bringing families and neighbors together to connect, laugh, and celebrate community. On Saturday, our Juneteenth Impact Day brought celebration and service together as volunteers assembled care packages and completed service projects to support local nonprofits.

To me, that's what Juneteenth is all about—remembering our history, celebrating freedom, and putting our values into action through service, unity, and learning from one another. Seeing people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures come together reminded me that when we build relationships, we build stronger communities.
