Our Board met this week and voted unanimously to give the Golden Leash Award for volunteerism above and beyond to Barwick and Ragan Barwick. As has been shared this week, our beloved RD crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Ragan was not a BSR alum, but was very well known in the Boykin community. Bill and RD used their platform to promote rescue whenever given the opportunity. They have been fixtures at Nationals, SEWE and Bash throughout the years. And we all know the true love between Ragan and our beloved Handsome Harry Tucker. Our hearts are with Bill, as well as gratitude for all the service to rescue throughout the years.

Keeping a map like this of our dog's lumps and bumps can be very helpful. Mark the size and date and indicate if tested and/or removed.

Our Sunday Gratitude shoutout this morning goes to Susie Martin Wnek. Susie is a long time volunteer who has done so much for BSR. You may remember she has been our seamstress-- making clothing for our follically challenged dogs and most recently transporting a dog on the west coast. Thank you Susie!!!
