What a great couple days seeing over 240 bikes gathered in Lincoln to promote and raise funds for one of American Legion Foundations. Below is the info and highlights about the ride.

The American Legion Legacy Run is an annual, multi-day charity motorcycle ride across the United States supporting The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation.

The 20th-anniversary ride kicks off today, August 23, 2026, departing from Lincoln, Nebraska, and traveling roughly 1,000 miles to Fort Knox, Kentucky.

2026 Ride FactsDates: August 23 – 27, 2026Route: From Lincoln, Nebraska, through Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana, ending at the General George Patton Museum of Leadership in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Participants: Roughly 240–300 riders on motorcycles.

Purpose: Raising funds and awareness for the Veterans & Children Foundation, which provides temporary financial assistance grants for military families and training for American Legion claims experts.

Key HighlightsAnniversary Milestone: Marks the 20th year of the national Legacy Run event.Sojourn 250 Flag: Riders are carrying a historic American flag commemorating the nation's 250th anniversary.

Fundraising Impact: The event has raised millions historically, with substantial early donations already logged for the 2026 run. Saturday’s fundraising collected over $260,000.00
