✨👏 Celebrating Excellence in Youth Development! 👏✨

Last week, staff members from Lois Martin Community Center proudly attended the Prime Time of Palm Beach County Afterschool Symposium, where youth development professionals from across Palm Beach County came together to learn, connect, and celebrate the impact of high-quality out-of-school time programs. 💙💛

Throughout the event, participants engaged in inspiring workshops, leadership discussions, and professional development sessions focused on strengthening programs that support children, families, and communities. We are proud of every staff member who represented our center with professionalism, dedication, and passion for youth success. 🌟

A very special congratulations to Ashley Ham for receiving the 2026 Quality Leadership in Out-Of-School Time Award! 🏆 Your leadership, hard work, and unwavering commitment to empowering youth continue to inspire everyone around you. This recognition is truly well deserved!

We would also like to acknowledge and celebrate all program participants and staff honorees who attended the symposium and continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our children every day. We were honored to host the beautiful Pearl City CATS VPK Graduation Ceremony, themed “A Tale as Old as Time.” 🌹👑

Our little graduates lit up the room with their confidence, smiles, performances, and unforgettable personalities as they celebrated this important milestone surrounded by proud families, teachers, and community supporters. From the royal décor to the joyful dancing and heartfelt moments, the event was truly one to remember. 💙❤️💛

Our youth recently participated in a meaningful *Care Project* in partnership with **Community Servant Leaders Inc. Florida**, where they created handmade book stamps filled with encouragement and love for foster children in need. 📚💌

Through creativity, teamwork, and community engagement, our young participants learned the value of giving back and using their talents to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Seeing our children lead with kindness and compassion reminds us how powerful community connection can be. 🌟💙

This week at *Bright Minds Tech Club*, our future engineers explored the exciting world of **Ocean Engineering** alongside the incredible teams from the **National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)** and **Florida Atlantic University (FAU)**! 💡🚤

Our students learned how engineering and technology help shape the future of our oceans while putting their creativity to the test by designing and building their very own boat models. From problem-solving to teamwork, these young innovators showed amazing focus, imagination, and STEM skills! 🌟

A huge THANK YOU to and for inspiring the next generation of engineers, creators, and leaders. Opportunities like these help our youth dream bigger and explore exciting career paths in science, technology, engineering, and math! 🔬💙

Need help filing your taxes? United Way of Palm Beach County is offering free, professional tax preparation services to eligible individuals and families at the Lois Martin Community Center.
IRS-certified volunteers will help you file your return accurately and securely, and ensure you claim valuable credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit if you qualify.

Location: Lois Martin Community Center
1350 N Dixie Manor Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Hours:
• Wednesday and Thursday: 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm
• Saturday: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

What an amazing evening at the Lois Martin Community Center as we celebrated our residents with a Slice of Appreciation! 💙

There’s nothing better than coming together as a community to share fresh pizza, smiles, laughter, and gratitude. This event was all about saying THANK YOU to our incredible residents for being such a valued part of our BRHA family. 🏘️💛

From friendly conversations to happy faces enjoying their favorite slices, the night was filled with connection and community spirit. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do!
