Today millions of People in South Florida are holding their collective breath as one of the largest hurricanes in recent years bears down on the Tampa sarasota coast . At Category 4 and 5 the storm is packing a destructive force of unbelievable power. The Wednesday afternoon winds are already over 40 knots and the storm has not yet touched Florida.
When it is fully engaged with the coast of Florida the seas will pound the shore with 10-15 feet of storm surge sure to flood the coastal homes and those who live within a short distance to the shore.
Then of course there are the winds & tornados. They are expected to make landfall with a force of 145 miles an hour.
Back in 2017, we personally were delivering supplies to the US Virgin Islands and observed what these kind of winds do. It is not something you can truly imagine or want to experiance.
My wife and I started the ushurricanerelief.com a registered 501C(3) charity that same year and have been providing relief to Hurricane victims each year since. We are small and focused. We take whatever funding we can obtain and we spend it on providing direct relief to victims of the storms.
If you can help us with a donation we would very much appreciate your help. Small or large your donations fund the work we have done, and will most assuredly do in the coming days and weeks.
Please help!
