✨Ella Update 💛

On Monday, April 27th, we came to Charleston for routine blood work to check Ella’s liver since her enzymes have been spiking. We were hoping they had gone down so we could head home, but unfortunately they went up again. Doctors believed it was likely GVHD. 😏

Tuesday, April 28th, Ella had a liver biopsy to confirm what’s going on and get her started on the right medication. The BEST news—both of her bone marrow biopsies came back and she is still cancer-free. 🙌🏼Thank God and her Donor. We pray for you everyday! 🙏

Today, April 29th, Ella’s results came back with GVHD in her liver. It does look mild though. We head back tomorrow to start a new meds. Now that she does have GVHD they will need to monitor it closely, which means back to clinic twice weekly. Ella is not too happy about that but we’re thankful to know what it is, that is mild & they know exactly what to do to stop it. 🙏🏻

Ella Update ✨

Ella has been doing absolutely amazing!! She got to spend some time with her Cher this morning 🩷

Her bone marrow and LP both came back that Ella is still in remission 🙏🏻

🙌🏻 So thankful for all the prayers, please continue pray for her, pray that she continues to do amazing and stay in remission 🙏🏻❤️

Surgery went well this morning, and Ella finally had her port removed!

She also underwent a bone marrow aspiration and a spinal tap.

Please keep her in your prayers that the results come back completely cancer-free. 🙏

It’s been a little while for an update but here are some pictures of Ella & her family enjoying time outside the hospital in their Air BNB. They were able to explore Charleston a little as well.

Today is a big day for Ella.

She’s getting her Broviac taken out—no more flushing or locking lines, and no more shower guards. She’ll also have a bone marrow aspiration and a lumbar puncture.

Please keep her in your prayers for safe procedures and that all test results come back cancer-free.
