This month, Bluffton, LET’S GO GOLD for children and families facing childhood cancer.

In a caring community, no family should ever feel like they are walking a difficult road alone. Whether it’s offering a meal, lending a hand, sharing a kind word, supporting a fundraiser, or simply letting someone know “we’re here for you,” every act of kindness matters.

Let’s come together this September to raise awareness, support families in our community and beyond, and honor the brave children who are fighting, the survivors who inspire us, and the precious children forever remembered. 💛

Please Nominate Blessing Box Project Bluffton

Blessing Box Project Bluffton is a grassroots, community-led nonprofit with one simple mission: help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

Our Blessing Boxes provide free, 24/7 access to nonperishable food and essential items for neighbors experiencing food insecurity. There are no applications, no qualifications and no questions asked. If someone is hungry, they can simply take what they need.

What began in 2024 with one small Blessing Box has grown into a network of boxes serving the Bluffton community. This effort is powered by neighbors helping neighbors—local residents, businesses, students, volunteers and community organizations all working together to keep the boxes stocked.

A $5,000 grant from FWDG would have an immediate and meaningful impact. These funds would allow Blessing Box Project Bluffton to purchase much-needed nonperishable food and essential items, keep our boxes stocked during periods of high demand, and continue expanding our ability to serve neighbors who need a little extra help.

Every dollar would stay right here in our community and be transformed into food, hope and kindness for our neighbors.

Blessing Box Project Bluffton proves that something as simple as a can of food placed in a little wooden box can remind someone that their community cares.
