"How Much Do You Want to Know Him?"

📖 This week on Mike’s Minutes, we look at two passages that reveal two radically different attitudes toward God—and challenge us to consider where we stand between them.
In Philippians 3:10, Paul declares, “That I may know him.” His desire went far beyond knowing facts about Jesus. He wanted the closeness of a personal relationship, to experience Christ’s power, walk with Him daily, and even share in the fellowship of His sufferings. Paul wanted to know Christ more deeply, whatever that might cost him.
In Jeremiah 6:16, we see the opposite response. God calls His people to seek the old paths, walk in the good way, and find rest for their souls. Yet their answer is, “We will not walk therein.” They resist the very God who offers them direction and rest, refusing to submit to His rule over their lives.
These passages call us to examine our own hearts. We may not openly refuse God, but are there areas where we keep Him at a distance? Do we want to know Him deeply enough to surrender our plans, accept His correction, and trust Him through suffering?
The question is more than whether we know about Christ. It’s how much we desire to know Him, and how willing we are to follow wherever He leads.
