Fun Fact Friday!
Ground poles help our horses build rhythm, balance, and body awareness. Each step encourages them to lift their feet, stay focused, and move with confidence.
Riders direct our horses over the poles by looking ahead, stay centered, and applying leg — creating teamwork that prepares both horse and rider for more advanced skills later on!

PALS horse Junie is reminding our riders, volunteers, and staff how important it is to stay hydrated on these hot days! Junie is still hoping to find her sponsor — if you’d like to support her, you can visit this link to sign up: https://crm.bloomerang.co/HostedDonation?ApiKey=pub_25862b4d-cdc7-11ea-b90d-0a908e1cc508&WidgetId=2776064
On hot days, our horses get fresh cold water, shade, lots of downtime, frequent check‑ins, and a refreshing bath or hose‑off to lower body temperature.
And none of this would be possible without our incredible instructors and barn assistants, whose dedication ensures the highest standard of care every day — even on the hottest ones.

Our team took part in a hands‑on fire extinguisher training this week with the Monroe Fire Protection District! Instructor-led practice and a live simulation helped staff — including Barn Assistant and Instructor Emma — learn how to respond quickly and safely in an emergency. Safety is always our top priority at PALS, and we’re incredibly grateful to the Monroe Fire Protection District for sharing their time and expertise with us.
