🩷 We love seeing organizations in our community committed to empowering and supporting children and youth!

Strut to Success is proud to support the work of the Commission on the Status of Children and Youth and their mission to strengthen connections that help Bloomington’s young people thrive.

Our missions share an important belief: young people deserve strong communities, meaningful opportunities, and adults who are invested in their success.

We’re excited to continue building connections and look forward to opportunities to collaborate in the future as we work toward an even stronger community for our youth. 💕

The Commission on the Status of Children and Youth was created to promote connections in our community that empower, enhance, and nurture children and youth in our city. It’s made up of nine residents who volunteer their time and energy to help make Bloomington a great place to be a kid.

Strut to Success believes empowerment also means making sure our girls, families, and community are connected to resources that can help them grow.

Whether you’re interested in earning your GED, learning a foreign language, gaining a new certification, exploring a new career path, or adding new skills to your résumé, we encourage you to take a look at these opportunities!

And parents — sometimes investing in yourself is part of showing our young people what continued growth looks like. 👏🏾

This resource may not be for everyone, but it could be exactly what someone in your circle has been looking for. Please share and help us spread the word! 💕

🩷 Our hearts are with the Girls Inc. of Monroe County team, the girls they have served, and every staff member, mentor, volunteer, donor, and community partner who poured into this mission over the years.

The closure of such an impactful organization is a reminder that serving our youth takes an entire community. Their work has left a lasting legacy, and we are grateful for the countless girls whose lives were changed because someone believed in them.

At Strut to Success, we remain committed to ensuring that girls in our community continue to have access to mentorship, leadership development, emotional wellness support, and a village that believes in their potential.

To the Girls Inc. team: thank you for paving the way and for the impact you’ve made. We hope to continue building on that foundation and welcome opportunities to collaborate with former staff, mentors, volunteers, and community members who want to continue investing in the next generation of girls.

This is not the end of supporting girls in Monroe County. Together, we will keep showing up.

💛 An Update on Girls Inc. of Monroe County 💛

Girls Inc. of Monroe County merged with the Shelbyville affiliate in 2020, after the COVID-19 pandemic forced a temporary closure of independent operations. After years of incredible service and growth, we've made the difficult decision to close the Girls Inc. of Monroe County center. Despite our best efforts, we were not able to secure the funding needed to sustain the center long-term.

This is not a reflection of our amazing Monroe County staff, who have been extraordinary mentors and role models every single day. We simply couldn't close the funding gap.

Our Monroe County center will remain open through August 31, 2026, and we're working to support families through this transition.

To our supporters, board members, staff, families, and most importantly, our girls: thank you for making Monroe County a place where girls grew, dreamed, and led. This experience will stay with us forever. 💚

Girls Inc. of Shelby, Decatur, and Rush Counties remains strong, and our mission continues.

Some girls need someone to remind them they’re brilliant.

Some need someone to remind them they’re capable.

Some simply need someone to say…

“I believe in you.”

Sometimes the most important work happens behind the scenes.

While our social media has been a little quiet, we’ve been busy dreaming bigger, planning intentionally, strengthening partnerships, and preparing for an exciting new season of Strut to Success.

This year, we’re expanding our Teen Strut Circle Leadership & Confidence Initiative to empower even more middle and high school girls with the confidence, leadership skills, resilience, and support they deserve.

Our mission has always been bigger than events. It’s about helping girls discover who they are, believe in who they can become, and giving them the tools to confidently strut toward their future.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our mission, support our work, volunteer your time, donate, share our posts, and encourage the young ladies we serve. We couldn’t do this without our village.

Stay tuned… this school year is going to be something special. 💕👠

A moment I’ll never forget. 💗🏀

Hearing Strut to Success announced as a 2026 Fever Fund Grant Recipient was a reminder that dreams backed by purpose can become reality.

This grant isn’t just funding—it’s an investment in girls who deserve opportunities to discover their confidence, strengthen their leadership skills, and realize their potential.

Because of the Fever Fund’s support, we’ll continue expanding our Teen Strut Circle Leadership & Confidence Initiative, creating safe spaces where girls are seen, heard, and empowered to lead.

To the Indiana Fever, the Fever Fund, and everyone who believes in community organizations making a difference—thank you for believing in our mission.

This is only the beginning. 💗✨

Some of the strongest women in the room aren’t on the court… they’re in the community. 💗🏀

What an honor to spend the evening alongside fellow Fever Fund grant recipients—women and organizations committed to making a difference every single day.

One of my favorite parts of this journey has been connecting with people who understand that real impact isn’t measured by recognition, but by the lives we help change.

Congratulations to each organization represented. I’m grateful to be in such inspiring company, and I’m excited to see the incredible work we’ll continue to do throughout our communities.

Here’s to collaboration over competition and purpose over popularity. The future is brighter when we build it together. ✨

💗🏀 Tonight was a full-circle moment.

As a proud recipient of a Fever Fund Grant, we had the opportunity to attend the Indiana Fever game and witness firsthand the power of investing in women and girls.

At Strut to Success, we believe confidence grows through exposure, opportunity, and representation. Seeing women compete at the highest level reinforces the message we strive to share with every girl in our programs: your dreams are valid, your voice matters, and there is a place for you.

We are incredibly grateful for the Fever Fund’s investment in our Teen Strut Circle Leadership & Confidence Initiative. Because of this support, we’re expanding opportunities that empower girls to lead with confidence, discover their strengths, and build a future without limits.

Thank you for believing in organizations like ours that are creating lasting impact in our communities. The work continues, and we’re just getting started. 💗
