Hello Neighborhood Leads and Representatives,

This is a friendly reminder about Celebrating Bloomington Neighborhoods, an event co-hosted by C**A and HAND in support of Bloomington's amazing neighborhoods. Tuesday, September 26, 6-8 p.m. at Switchyard Park Pavilion

THIS EVENT IS FOR:
• Groups or individuals interested in starting a neighborhood association from scratch,
• Neighborhood associations interested in reactivating,
• Neighborhood associations that are going strong and have advice to share,
• Anyone in between.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
• FREE PIZZA courtesy of Pizza X!
• Brief presentations from:
o C**A and HAND regarding neighborhood resources available from both organizations,
o A handful of active neighborhood associations who have each been asked to share one of their successes.
• Tabling:
o Each neighborhood who requests a table will have one so they may showcase their neighborhood activities (depending upon the number of requests, some groups may be asked to double up at a single table).
o Selected community organizations of interest to neighborhoods will also be on-hand to offer information about their resources.
• Networking:
o Be sure to bring a group of neighbors with you! While one or two members of your group are staffing a table, others should take advantage of this opportunity to network with representatives from other neighborhoods.
o At each table, you will be asked for feedback: answer a question, share an idea, react to a problem or concern. In this way neighborhoods can learn from one another, support one another, and build community across the city by building a network of neighborhoods.

Please join C**A on July 11th at 7:00 pm when Gillian Field of Monroe County Identify and Reduce Invasive Species will join us to discuss grants and other help that are available to MCCSC, landowners and neighborhoods to reduce native species, a new initiative called the Winslow-Crestmont Wildlife corridor and ways to participate in their work in our community.

Angela Van Rooy from HAND will also be announcing an upcoming landscaping workshop.
