Enjoyed an afternoon spent celebrating Student and Community Leaders at the Washington Association of School Administrators Luncheon today.

Blaine Public Schools Foundation - Team BPSF is honored to be recognized with a WASA Community Leadership Award by the School District!!

We don't do any of this for recognition, but it sure does feel great to be recognized. Honored to play a small part in the amazing things that are happening in our schools.

BPSF wants to welcome our newest addition!
You may know Sabrina Gomez-Vannelli as the owner of in Blaine, mother of 3 Borderites, singer of Bilongo, etc etc.

I know her as the teacher who taught my girls how to do the coffee grinder, who will be holding my youngest's hand as he makes his PAC stage debut as a 'majestic eagle' May 16 + 17, as an artist, as someone who is passionate about the arts, our kids, and making sure that they are connected in some way.

But what made me reach out to Sabrina to join the BPSF team is that not only has she shown her support for us, she showed up to help sell raffle tickets.....unprompted! And you know that that is the equivalent of someone taking you to the airport at 3am or helping you move to a 3rd story apartment (with no elevator).

So welcome to the BPSF Team Sabrina!! So happy to have you a part of our growing team!

Blaine Public Schools Foundation, in collaboration with Mount Baker Theatre, is SUPER excited to be hosting Mount Vernon Mariachi & Folklorico students on March 5th at the Blaine Performing Arts Center.

Blaine students in Grades 5 - 12 will have the opportunity to attend this performance from the largest Mariachi & Folklorico program in Western Washington, which has a mission 'to keep the Mexican traditions of music and dance alive within our youth'.

Members of the community are invited to attend the March 5th 12:30pm performance, however space is limited.

We cannot wait for this performance!!
