We provide a variety of services to local veterans and the the surrounding community. Stetser-Lamartine American Legion Post 281 is a veterans organization chartered by Congress. Post 281 is both a veterans organization and a community resource for Gloucester Township and the surrounding areas. From supporting local charities to supporting our troops overseas, Post 281 makes an impact at home and

abroad. Offering Hall Rentals to the local community, the post provides services as well. Working to honor our veterans, build support for those that protect America, elevate our youth through scholarships and programs, and promote patriotism through community programs, always.

Stetser-Lamartine American Legion Post 281 still had a great showing of Legion Family out to salute those who gave all. Despite constant rain and cold throughout the morning, Post 281 Honor Guard stood tall and rendered honors at each of the 12 cemeteries throughout Gloucester Township. Our Legion Family will continue to honor our nation’s heroes tomorrow at the monuments throughout Gloucester Township tomorrow morning alongside the mayor and council members as well as Gloucester Township Police and VFW members. There will be a memorial ceremony at Veterans Park on Chews Landing Road starting at 11 am tomorrow. Here are some photos from today’s memorial services at the cemeteries.
