My name is Amber Wise, and I have the privilege of serving as the Director of LifeWise Bixby!
I have always had a heart for discipling the next generation and bringing hope and healing to those who are hurting or lost. I received my bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry and Leadership and have spent much of my life ministering to young people, including serving as a youth pastor for several years.
In the spring of 2025, I began praying and looking for a way to bring the hope of Jesus to students in our public schools. That’s when I was introduced to LifeWise Academy. When I learned that students could leave school during the day—with parent permission—to receive Bible-based character education, and saw the incredible opportunity we had to reach students with the love and truth of Jesus every single week, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I dove in headfirst!
As a mom whose own children attend Bixby Public Schools, there was no question which community I wanted to serve. ❤️
We launched LifeWise Bixby last spring at North Intermediate and Bixby Middle School with 22 students. This fall, we are beginning with 56 students from North Intermediate, Bixby Middle School, and the Ninth Grade Center—and we are continuing to grow!
None of this happens because of one person. It truly takes a village, and I am incredibly grateful to lead an amazing team of teachers, volunteers, drivers, donors, parents, churches, and community members who believe in what we are doing.
Our heart is simple: to make the Bible accessible to public school students and to give the next generation the opportunity to know the hope, truth, and love of Jesus.
I am so excited to see all that God will do through LifeWise Bixby this year! ❤️
