Today marks 32 years since the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda—where over 1 million innocent lives were taken in just 100 days.

We remember not only the loss, but the strength of those who survived. We remember the stories, the silence, and the resilience that followed.

Today, Rwanda stands as a testament to what is possible when a people choose unity over division, healing over hatred, and purpose over pain. A nation once broken now rises together—committed to rebuilding, restoring dignity, and shaping a shared future.

From remembrance rises purpose. From pain, a future rooted in dignity, peace, and shared progress.

🌅✝️ Let us celebrate the hope and joy found in Jesus, for “He has risen” (Matt. 28:6) —His selfless act of love and victory over death brings new life and light into the world. ✝️🌅

And we hold close His beautiful promise: “…if I go and prepare a place for you [in Heaven], I will come back and take you to be with me…” (John 14:3).

Because He lives, you and I have a living hope—today, tomorrow, and forever with Him. 🕊️💛

Would you join us in sharing this hope with others? ✝️

✨ From Vulnerability to Strength ✨

At our Life Center Project, women who once faced deep hardship are discovering hope, purpose, and the power to change their futures.

Through discipleship and hands-on training in textile and artisanal skills, they are being equipped not just to earn an income—but to provide for their families with dignity and confidence.

These photos capture a beautiful moment: our upcoming graduates, the teachers who have walked beside them, and the leadership guiding this life-changing work.

Lives are being restored. Futures are being rewritten. 💛

We are always grateful about something special at Advocates Christian Academy in Rwanda—our middle school computer classroom! 💻✨

For many of our students, this is the only place they will ever have access to computers and the internet. Our school is located in a remote rural area of Rwanda where technology is extremely limited. Because of this classroom, students who might otherwise never touch a computer are learning valuable digital skills that will open doors for their future.

From learning how to type and use educational software to exploring the world through the internet, these students are gaining opportunities that can truly change the trajectory of their lives.

Thank you to everyone who supports Advocates Christian Academy and helps make moments like this possible. Your generosity is equipping the next generation with the tools they need to learn, grow, and dream bigger. 🌍📚

Recently, an Advocates for Africa donor family had the opportunity to visit their sponsored child and his parents in new home that they built for them in Rwanda (Bugesera).

What began as a sponsorship relationship became something far more personal: two families meeting face-to-face, sharing smiles, gratitude, and hope for the future.

Moments like these remind us that sponsorship is more than support—it’s connection.

Consider joining us on a mission trip this next year, to visit your sponsored child. 🌍

We had a great time meeting with our Middle School Parents at Advocates Christian Academy! 📚✨

Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who came out to connect, ask questions, and partner with us as we support our students both academically and spiritually. These moments of collaboration between school and home make such a difference in the lives of our students.

During the meeting, we shared important highlights about our school discipline policy and how it is designed not only to maintain a positive learning environment, but also to help guide students toward growth in character and responsibility. We also discussed the ongoing transformation we are seeing in student character development, along with encouraging improvements in student behavior as they continue to mature and grow.

Parents were reminded of the important role they play in shaping the future of their children. When families and the school work together with shared expectations, encouragement, and accountability, students are better equipped to succeed both in school and in life.

We are grateful for a community that is committed to helping our students grow, learn, and thrive together. 💙

Color, culture, and new beginnings 💛💚❤️

At The Life Center, these resilient women are learning the art of dyeing sisal—transforming natural fibers into the vibrant strands that bring traditional Agaseke baskets to life. Each rich color represents more than beauty; it represents opportunity.

For many of the vulnerable women at the Life Center, this skill is a pathway to financial security. By mastering the craft of creating handmade Agaseke baskets, they are building sustainable incomes—so they can feed their families, keep a roof over their heads, and create a more stable future for their children.
