Gospel PraiSing Festival! Less than 2 weeks away. Music highlights!

Jacob Rocky is new to the Gospel PraiSing Festival, but no stranger to the Bismarck area, performing last May, at New Song Church. He recently performed at Thrivefest and Saturday, before the festival, he will be doing prison ministry at the ND State Prison. We are excited he has decided to stay in Bismarck one more day to be at the festival.

Jacob Rocky Native American singer-songwriter, and worship leader Jacob Rocky brings a unique blend of high-energy praise music with catchy melodies, soaring guitar riffs and biblically based lyrics. Not confined by one specific genre, his music ranges from pop, blues, rock, soul to gospel. There’s guaranteed to be something for everybody!

Gospel PraiSing Festival! Less than 2 weeks away. Music highlights!

We are delighted that One Dei will be returning this year!

One Dei is a Catholic/Christian music ministry based out of Bismarck, ND. They provide Praise & Worship music and presentations for churches throughout our area. The band features Jeremy Davis, guitar and vocals, Carrie Davis, guitar and vocals, Kate Bleth, piano and vocals, Tom Horner, bass guitar, and Adam Halverson, percussion. You may know One Dei from the XLT - Adoration with Praise & Worship nights at Spirit of Life. In 2019, they were the house band at the Diocese of Bismarck Thirst Conference leading music throughout the weekend. Their music comes from the heart, truly believing in who and what they are singing.

Gospel PraiSing Fiesta! This Sunday, August 9, at Mayas Mexican Restaurant, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Colleen and I will welcome On the Brink. You don't want to miss these wonderful harmonies!

On the Brink is a women's barbershop quartet that has been sharing their love of four-part harmony for more than 15 years. United by a passion for music, friendship, and performance, Carol Kurtz, Jennifer Romsaas, Linda Harmsen, and Tracy Wolf have delighted audiences with their rich blend of voices, polished sound, and engaging stage presence. They have placed in the top 5 at their regional competition the past 4 years. Carol is the director of River Rhapsody Chorus and proud to say the chorus will be competing on the international stage this October after taking 1st place at their regional competition
After more than 15 years together, On the Brink continues to embrace every opportunity to bring the joy of barbershop harmony to audiences wherever they perform, proving that great friendships and great harmony only get better with time.

Come to the Fiesta for a great lunch, some beautiful music, and to support the programming of the Abused Adult Resource Center. This will be our final Fiesta dedicated to AARC, so let's show them our ❤️ and appreciation for all they do in our community.

We will be staying cool and having fun at the GOSPEL PRAISING FIESTA this Sunday, July 26, at Mayas Mexican Restaurant from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Colleen Reinhardt and I are excited to welcome our guest, Mya Tena, a talented tenor saxophonist.

Mya Tena, a recent graduate of UMary, has been performing saxophone and clarinet primarily with the UMary Jazz ensemble and concert band for the last four years. She has played in jazz bands, jazz combos, and in orchestras for musicals around the Bismarck area. She is impassioned by the love of Christ and the Church, and in sharing her musical gifts to the community.

The weather may be hot, but it will be nice and cool inside for our GOSPEL PRAISING FIESTA, this Sunday, July 12th, at Mayas Mexican Restaurant, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Enjoy live Christian music while you enjoy lunch. Colleen Reinhardt and I are delighted to welcome Debi Rogers as our guest this Sunday.

Debi is well known throughout the Bismarck/Mandan area and far beyond. “Teller of tales, musician, actress, teaching artist and master Celtic artist with the North Dakota Council on the Arts, Debi Rogers makes her home on stage.”
She has explored various cultures while studying in Japan through a Fulbright Award, serving as an artistic ambassador in Iceland, acting/directing in numerous plays and performing in Ireland.
A retired music teacher, she is the Director of Music at Bismarck’s First Presbyterian Church and a yoga instructor. Her earliest memory as a wee child was practicing harping and flying in her basement to become an Irish fairy.

A 501(c)(3) corporation, Gospel PraiSing Ministries, gives 100% of donations received at our Fiesta events to local non-profits. April through August support Abused Adult Resource Center (AARC).

That means we only have 3 more GOSPEL PRAISING FIESTAS before our second GOSPEL PRAISING FESTIVAL!
Fiestas are July 12 and 26, and August 9!
The Gospel PraiSing Festival is August 23!

You won't want to miss any of them! We have wonderful guest musicians and bands who are ready to nourish your soul with beautiful songs giving glory to God!

IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER GOSPEL PRAISING FIESTA! THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 28TH, at Mayas Mexican Restaurant, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Enjoy lunch with live Christian music by Colleen Reinhardt and Julie Ternes. This week, we are excited to welcome two talented guest musicians, Traci Juhala and David Sorenson!

Traci Juhala grew up playing cello with the string program in Bismarck Public Schools and nurtured her love of music after high school by earning a BA in Music from UND. After earning a graduate degree in Library and Information Science, Traci returned to Bismarck to start her library career, and she rejoined the music community. She is the Music Director at St George’s Episcopal Church and plays with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra and various smaller ensembles. When not making music, you can find Traci working in Youth Services at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library.

David Sorenson is a pianist/composer born in Williston, ND. His compositions and arrangements have been performed around the world and have won numerous awards. As a pianist, he performs regularly around the Bismarck/Mandan area, accompanying both soloists and ensembles. David currently teaches at BSC where he teaches piano, composition, and percussion lessons and leads the BSC Jazz Band. He also teaches composition lessons at UMary.

I got to work with David and Traci, both musicians at St. George’s Episcopal Church, when I was invited to do music for a funeral. After working with them, I immediately put them on my list of musicians to invite to Gospel PraiSing! I am excited to have them perform for you.
