🌈 Making a Difference at the North Dakota LGBTQ Summit! 🌈

We were honored to have Jason Grueneich from Shine Bright and Live present at the North Dakota LGBTQ Summit in Fargo this weekend, alongside Matthew Hippen, who courageously shared his personal story. 💙

Personal stories have the power to connect us, inspire hope, build understanding, and remind us that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, accepted, and valued for who they are.

Thank you to Jason for sharing his work, to Matthew for opening up and sharing his lived experience and Annie for helping to spread our mission. Your voices matter, and your willingness to share helps strengthen our communities and create a more inclusive future for all. 🏳️‍🌈✨

This LGBTQ History Month, we honor the activism that built our community while continuing the vital work for health, visibility, and equality.

The story of the LGBTQ+ movement is inseparable from the history of HIV/AIDS advocacy. In the face of crisis, grassroots activists, care networks, and mutual aid systems laid the foundation for modern health justice.

Today, medical advancements mean we have the tools to end the HIV epidemic, yet awareness, equity, and access remain critical.

🩵Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U) People living with HIV who take daily treatment and maintain an undetectable viral load cannot transmit the virus to sexual partners.

🩶 PrEP & PEP = Daily medications like PrEP reduce the risk of acquiring HIV by over 99% when taken as prescribed.

💙 Routine Testing = Regular screening is standard, proactive healthcare, knowing your status empowers your community and your future.

Honoring LGBTQ+ history means protecting LGBTQ+ futures. Let’s break stigma, support healthcare access, and keep learning together.

They recently met, hosted by Shine Bright and Live, to set their goals for the next five years in support of the 2027–2031 ND HIV Integrated Plan.

The board is excited to roll out new testing videos and PSAs, while also becoming more visible and engaged at community events throughout the coming year! 🎥📣

Together, they’re working toward greater awareness, education, testing, and support across North Dakota. 💪❤️
