Our hearts go out to our cattle-ranching peers in other states who have suffered from horrific wildfires. Several relief efforts have been set up to support those in need.
In Nebraska, the Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund announced it will be accepting monetary donations to assist beef cattle producers who are being impacted by fires. The Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund will remain activated and accept monetary donations until further notice. One-hundred percent of the donations will be distributed to producers who were impacted. Checks can be sent to Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund, 4611 Cattle Drive, Lincoln, NE 68521-4309. In Kansas, the Kansas Livestock Association and the Kansas Livestock Foundation are helping producers impacted by the February 2026 wildfires. Cash donations, as well as supply and hay donations, are being accepted. One-hundred percent of the funds collected will go toward relief efforts.
