WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2026.. HEAVY HEART
Good Morning to all !! Well, I just feel defeated as sadness grinds at my soul why? Well, here we are.. We survived a horrible flood, we were able to rebuild an entire damaged building, we survived a 4 day long ( in the heat) power outage, survived our furnace in our main building demise and was replaced with an entire NEW system.. WHY? because of the outpouring of HELP we received from our Supporters, Friends, followers & THIS community.. So why in the heck am I SAD...???
People.. Listen up.. We have the EXACT opposite problem that other Rescues, pounds, Shelters & Sanctuaries have.. WE HAVE SPACE .. YES WE DO.. WE HAVE NO HELP !! THAT is why I am sad.. I see all these senior precious ones that NEED to be here and I have to say no.. IT IS KILLING ME! I want to help them.. I KNOW we can help them.. I KNOW they need to be here.. But how in the world can I take them under our wing without PEOPLE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM??? It is not fair to them, and it IS all about them.. I know you are seeing doggies in need and many of you are tagging me on these posts but, I cannot help them.. This goes against everything that ISHAS stands for and rips my heart out in the process.. We HAD so many Volunteers during flood time.. but as luck would have it many had prior commitments this month and are not available .. We have been BEGGING for 2 FULL TIME or 4 PART TIME PAID EMPLOYEES.. One person applied but did not show up. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.. SEND HELP .. so we can save and care for more lives.. These doggie faces staring at us on media posts and the MANY shelters asking us to help them, is KILLING US to have to say "We Can't" .. I pray with all my soul that help does arrive and ISHAS can open our doors wide open to EACH & EVERY doggie that needs us..
I KNOW because I see the comments .. "Why isn't ISHAS helping?" Well now you know.. WE HAVE SPACE.. PLENTY OF SPACE but WE HAVE NO HUMAN HELP.. We are struggling to care for the ones already here that need us.. How can we take in more? We can't .... not without HELP... Sad isn't it ?? It is for us.. :(.. " I'm sorry little needy ones.. We Can't" .. We don't have a miracle THIS time.. :(..
