Two items of significant note happened yesterday in the fight for privacy:

Bloomington, IN chose to not renew their contract with Flock, making them the 51st city to have DeFlocked since just the beginning of last year! In addition to that, a class action lawsuit was filed against both the city and police department of San Jose, CA.

(1) The capturing agency shall adopt and publicize a written policy governing its use prior to capturing or using any LPR data. The policy shall address all of the following:

50+ cities have already said NO to Flock surveillance cameras and won.

From Austin to Denver to Scarsdale, communities are proving that when residents show up and speak out, these cameras come down.

Birmingham, it's our turn.

Here's how they did it. Sign our petition.

Communities across the country are forcing out surveillance cameras. The strategies that work are ones Birmingham can use right now.
