The Renewal Project has become a reality thanks to your support! Our mission to increase access to critical mental and behavioral health care in Alabama is in action! Here are some reasons to support today, on Giving Tuesday:
-The Renewal Project raises money to bridge financial gaps for Alabama residents who need mental or behavioral health (including drug and alcohol) treatment, who are underinsured or uninsured. This could be your loved one, your neighbor, or your co-worker.
-With the funds raised, The Renewal Project provides financial assistance, increasing access to critical counseling, therapy, residential and inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatments, detoxification, and recovery residences, providing valuable and urgent care to Alabama’s most vulnerable.
-Even insured people struggle to access mental health services. Almost 16% of Alabamians who experienced a mental illness in the past year had private health insurance that did not cover mental or emotional problems, compared with roughly 10% nationwide.— Alander Rocha
