Alabama Environmental Council We believe all Alabamians have a right to a clean and safe environment.

From the low and gentle mountains of the north to the pure white sands of the coast, we breathe Alabama's air, drink Alabama's water and depend on Alabama's land. We recognize the positive link between a strong economy, a clean environment, and healthy communities. With emphasis on healthy environments, efficient and renewable energy, and waste reduction practices, we provide a voice for all Alaba

mians, as we work towards a better, cleaner, and safer Alabama. Goals:

~Educate and advocate for environmentally sustainable policies and practices.
~Be an effective and inclusive voice for our stakeholders.
~Maintain active Board of Directors, volunteers, and membership base. Short-Term Objectives:

~Lead our communities and stakeholders to applicable environmental resources
~ Initiate and help maintain a restaurant/bar sustainability program
~Create education campaigns to improve existing businessand implement
~Educate citizens, corporations, and communities about how to live more sustainably. Long-Term Objectives:

~Celebrate the history and success of the organization
~Develop partnerships/collaborations with other local/statewide organizations, businesses, stakeholders
~Work to improve local and state legislative/regulatory environmental policies
~Implement a marketing and networking campaigns to increase awareness and state-wide presence
~Secure additional revenue through donations and grants
~Form chapters/clubs/satellite groups to further carry out our mission and goals
~Become the best source and “go to” organization in AL for sustainable living and environmental stewardship guidance
~Develop education campaigns to carry out our mission and goals
~Use appropriate advocacy to support our environmental sustainability policies.
~Work towards a visible, measurable increase in statewide sustainable practices.

CALLING ALL GOLFERS ⛳️

Darter Scramble is a little over a month away on Sept. 14th! It will be at Highland Park Golf Course starting at 8 am!

There will be a continental breakfast, a raffle with golf-related prizes, and an awards luncheon after!
