🎈 ASA SUMMER SERIES: Highlighting local camps & summer fun across Alabama! 🎈

Huntsville families—if you're looking for fun, free things to do with your kids this summer break, look no further than this weekend!

For today’s summer spotlight, we’re sharing the The Academy of Learning and Character Development Kid’s Fest 2026 this Saturday, June 13th. This community event is completely free to the public and is packed with great activities, including a hands-on petting zoo, a Huntsville Museum of Art station, and STEM tables hosted by the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! It's also a great opportunity to connect with local community outreach agencies and resources.

📅 When: Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Looking for a creative outlet for your child or teen this summer break? For this week's summer feature, we’re highlighting the Walker County Arts Alliance's annual Art Camps in Jasper, AL! 🎨

Art camps are a fantastic way for neurodivergent kids and teens to express themselves, explore sensory-friendly textures, and practice fine motor skills in a fun, structured environment. WCAA also believes the arts should be accessible to everyone, so scholarships and financial assistance are available!

📅 When: Middle & High School: June 15–19 OR July 6–10 | Mon–Fri, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Elementary School: June 22–26 OR July 13–17 | Mon–Fri, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Graylen Williams is 4 years old and was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age 3. 💛

Graylen has a bright and curious mind, especially when it comes to numbers, planets, and the weather. 🌎🔢⛅ He is already working beyond his grade level in math, showing an incredible ability to learn and grow.

His journey has included big milestones, including making meaningful progress with communication after being non-speaking. Graylen continues to grow and amaze those around him every day. ✨

Beckett Jackson is 7 years old and was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age 3. 💛

Beckett has an incredible imagination and loves to build anything and everything. From robots to Transformers, he can turn just about any object into something creative and unique. 🤖✨

He’s also quite the jokester, always ready to laugh, play, and “cut up” with those around him. Beckett has a big heart and is constantly making sure everyone else is happy, spreading joy wherever he goes. 😊

His creativity, humor, and kindness make him truly one of a kind. 💫
