No jokes here—just real skills for a real future! 🛠️💪

April 🍃is officially here, and we’re using this entire month to pour into our young men through one-on-one mentoring and hands-on training with experienced technicians for our Brake & Oil Change Workshop. 🚗🔧

Learning how to change your oil is more than just a skill, it’s a step toward independence and responsibility. 🔑

When young men understand how their vehicle functions, they begin to build confidence in their ability to handle real-life responsibilities with pride and purpose. ✨

Oil is the lifeline of a car’s engine, and neglecting it can lead to serious damage over time, just like neglecting discipline in life🏋️‍♂️

Teaching this process shows our youth how small, consistent maintenance can prevent major problems later, both on the road and in their personal growth.

This experience also opens the door for deeper conversations about accountability, consistency, and self-worth. 🗣️

This month is about more than cars, it’s about building capable, prepared young men through guidance, mentorship, and real-world skills. 🤝🏗️

Thank you to REVOLT for recognizing our President & Founder in honor of Black History Month 💪🏽 •

This , Revolt News is honoring the culture-shapers and history-makers who are defining our present and protecting our future. Today, we celebrate Isiah “Zeke” Williams, who has transformed grassroots action into a Mudroots model for community safety.

As the founder and president of New Era Detroit, Zeek built a national movement based on effective community programs, leading the way in community engagement. With his signature Hood 2 Hood outreach, which has reached 124 neighborhoods through door-to-door engagement, resource drives, and unity events in the city of Detroit. His leadership secured a $800,000 community violence intervention grant to expand programming and develop a public safety app, positioning residents—not outsiders—as the architects of neighborhood protection.

In 2025, New Era Detroit delivered a 44% reduction in shootings and homicides within its zone, outperforming the citywide average and standing out as a national model for prevention without policing-first tactics.

As a core partner in Detroit’s CVI initiative, Williams’ organization helped drive results: violent crime plummeted by 37% to 83% within intervention areas, compared to a 35% drop elsewhere in the city. Door-to-door outreach, visible citizen patrols, and rapid conflict mediation have turned neighbors into guardians of their own blocks.
