Yesterday, Kid One Transport was honored to receive grants from the Autauga Area Community Foundation and the Elmore County Community Foundation! Their support keeps our wheels turning and enable us to sustain our mission to provide transportation to children and expectant mothers in these communities who have no other way to get to the doctor. Community Resource: Kid One Transport šŸš‘ šŸ§‘ā€šŸ§‘ā€šŸ§’

Access to reliable transportation should never be a barrier to receiving necessary medical care. Kid One Transport helps make sure children and expectant mothers can get to important healthcare appointments when transportation is a challenge.

Kid One provides transportation for children and expectant mothers, through one year postpartum. This includes families who may not have access to a vehicle or who require specialized transportation, such as wheelchair accessibility.

Founded in 1997 by Hoover firefighter Russell Jackson, Kid One began with one firefighter, one van, and a vision of making access to healthcare a reality for children in need across Alabama. That vision has grown into a statewide nonprofit serving families across 35 counties.

We are proud to share resources like Kid One that help support the health and well-being of families in our community.
