It’s New Friend Friday!! Meet our new friend Whitman! 💗

When Whitman’s family learned insurance would only cover 30 therapy visits for the entire year, those visits had to be stretched between PT, OT, and speech. By summer, they were already gone.

That’s where Libby’s Friends stepped in. 💗 We helped cover intensive physical therapy at Let’s Play Therapy, giving Whitman the opportunity to work with his therapist for an hour every day.

And look what all that hard work is doing!! 🥹 At just 19 months old, Whitman stood up ALL BY HIMSELF for the very first time during therapy! His family says, “He is about to walk!” 💗

This is why we do what we do. Your support helps fill the gaps insurance leaves behind and gives kids like Whitman more opportunities to grow, learn, and reach BIG milestones.

Way to go, Whitman!! We are so proud to call you our friend! 💗

Apparently making life a little easier for families is kinda chic. 💗

Showing up. Giving back. Making equipment and therapy more accessible. Making sure every voice is heard. Being a friend.

Last week, Libby’s Friends had the honor of being part of such a special day with Nick's Kids Foundation . 🩷

We were honored to have Hope’s family, including our friend Emir, represent Libby’s Friends at the luncheon. It was especially meaningful to have them there as we continue to remember and miss sweet Esther.

We are so grateful to Coach and Mrs. Saban and the entire Nick’s Kids Foundation for continuing to believe in our mission and invest in the work we’re doing for families across Alabama. Their generosity helps us keep saying “yes” to adaptive equipment, therapies, and so much more.

We’re incredibly thankful to be included alongside so many amazing organizations making a difference in our state. ❤️

Libby’s Friends was so happy to help Annaleigh get the cranial molding helmet she needed! And can we talk about how PRECIOUS she is in her pink helmet?! 🥹💕

We’re so thankful we get to help families cover the cost of equipment and care that can come with a disability or medical need. Welcome to the Libby’s Friends family, sweet Annaleigh! 💗

We could not make South Alabama Disney Trivia happen without the incredible businesses and individuals who have stepped up to support Libby’s Friends! 💗

📚💗 IEPs can feel overwhelming, but understanding the process and knowing what to look for can make such a difference!

Our friends at Gable’s Guidance are hosting Understanding Special Education and IEPs this Thursday, July 30th at 5:30 PM at the Trussville Library.

Bring your child’s current IEP and come ready to learn more about the special education process, what should be included, and what may need to be changed or added.

The $5 registration will be donated to Libby’s Friends! We are so thankful to Gable’s Guidance for supporting our mission while helping families feel more informed and prepared to advocate for their children. 💗

It’s New Friend Friday!! Meet our new friend Jesse! 💗

Libby’s Friends was so excited to help Jesse with an adaptive swing and a therapy wedge, and we love hearing how much of a difference both have already made!

Jesse’s mom shared that the swing has truly been a blessing for him. When he gets overstimulated inside, they can take him outside, put him in his swing, and he almost immediately calms down and relaxes… so much so that most of their pictures of him swinging are actually of him asleep! 🥹💗

She also shared, “We’ve been using the wedge all summer to work on his head control, and it’s made such a difference. His school occupational therapist stopped by recently and said she couldn’t believe how much his head control has improved.”

This is exactly why we love what we get to do. One piece of equipment gives Jesse a place to feel calm, comfortable, and enjoy being outside, while another is helping him work toward new skills and make incredible progress.

We are so happy to call you our friend, Jesse! 💗
