We've received nearly 200 responses to our Facilities Survey, but that's only a small portion of the people who care about the future of our schools and community. Our goal is 500+ responses, and we need your help to get there!

Whether you're a student, parent, grandparent, staff member, alumni, business owner, church member, retiree, or community supporter, your opinion matters.

The future of our schools should be shaped by the people who know and love this community. Don't miss your chance to share what you believe is most important for our students and the Liberty Eagles.

Take the survey.
Share the survey.
Encourage others to participate.

Every response helps ensure that the voices of our community are represented in future planning and decision-making.

500+ responses is the goal. Let's get there together!

We are excited to announce that the Children’s Summer Feeding Initiative is coming to the Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District during summer school!

This program, led by Convoy of Hope, provides nutritious bags of groceries to children during the summer months and helps bridge the gap for families who rely on school meals during the school year.

Grocery Pick-Up Information:
• Pick-up days will be on Friday afternoons during summer school.
• Due to the quantity of food provided, groceries cannot be sent home on the bus.
• Parents are asked to transport their child home on Fridays along with the groceries.

• Middle School & High School Students — Friday, June 5
• Elementary Students — Friday, June 12

Pick-up locations will be:
Liberty High School and Liberty Middle School – for middle school and high school students

MVBT is now accepting volunteer applications for the 2026-2027 school year, and it’s never too early to get started!

Returning volunteers from the current school year will need to complete the renewal process for 2026-2027, while new volunteers will complete the New Volunteer Application.

Whether you’d like to support classrooms, assist with events, or make a positive impact in other ways, we would love to have you join our school family.

Visit our new Volunteer Page on our website today to learn more about renewal steps or new volunteer requirements!

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Board adopted the 2026–2027 school calendar with two main things in mind: doing what is best for students and creating more consistency with four-day weeks.

Key points:

Required: 1,044 instructional hours + 36 weather hours (5 weather days built in).

148 total school days (146 full, 2 half) — fewer than this year’s 155.

School day adds 20 minutes.

Liberty Middle School and Liberty High School students will start at 7:40 AM. LHS will end their day at 3:30. LMS will end their day at 3:35.

Elementary students will continue to start at 7:50 AM, ending their day at 3:45.

Staff hours and number of contracted days remain the same, allowing for more opportunities for professional development.

Only three 5-day weeks, significantly fewer than this year.

State law does not allow us to start before August 24, 2026.

More details will be shared closer to the start of the 2026–2027 school year.
