From Prison to Purpose
For many years, my life was controlled by addiction, homelessness, and repeated trips to jail and prison. I spent decades trapped in a cycle that seemed impossible to escape. There were times when I felt hopeless, forgotten, and convinced that my life would never change.
What made the difference was the love, guidance, and belief of mentors who refused to give up on me. Through recovery programs, faith-based support, and people who saw potential in me when I couldn’t see it in myself, I learned that my past did not have to define my future. Their encouragement, accountability, and compassion became instrumental in helping me rebuild my life.
As I embraced recovery and discovered my purpose, I realized I wanted to help others who were facing the same struggles I once endured. That calling led me to found S.T.R.O.N.G. Ministries (Southern Tier Recovery Outreach for New Growth).
Today, my greatest joy comes from serving others—helping individuals overcome barriers related to addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and poverty. The very experiences that once brought pain to my life have become the foundation of a mission dedicated to restoring hope, rebuilding families, and strengthening communities.
My story is proof that recovery is possible, redemption is real, and that one person willing to believe in you can change the course of your life forever. Today, I am blessed to help others find the same hope that was once given to me—one household at a time.
