Yesterday, members of the Binghamton Fire Department were at the intersection of Clinton Street and Front Street collecting donations for our Fill the Boot fundraiser benefiting the Baldwin Fund.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we collected an incredible $8,313 in cash alone!

We’re still counting the coins, so that total will continue to grow!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to donate and support this great cause. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Baldwin Fund.

We appreciate your continued generosity and support!

Introducing the Kind Soles Initiative ❤️💙

Kind Soles is the Noah Farrelly Memorial Fund's newest program. We are so grateful (and excited) to be hosting a Kind Soles collection bin.

Here's how the shoe drive works: every pair of gently worn shoes donated does double duty. Our shoe recycling partner, Funds2Orgs, gives them a second life with families around the world — and pays us for every pound collected, which goes straight to funding brand-new sneakers for BCSD students through Farrelly's Feet.

Here's how you can be part of it: from now through October 16, a Kind Soles collection bin will be at Warren Real Estate at 33 Front Street. Bring in your gently worn shoes — any type, any size, any style, men's, women's, and kids' — and drop them in.

👟Clean out your closets. Put shoes on a child's feet — here and around the world.👟

On Sunday, October 4th, members of our community gathered at Otsiningo Park for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention’s annual Out of the Darkness Walk.

This event is part of a nationwide effort held in more than 400 communities, bringing together individuals, families, and supporters to raise awareness about su***de prevention, honor those lost, and remind those who may be struggling that they are not alone.

This year’s local event raised over $75,000 to support su***de prevention efforts, education, and resources.

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this important event a success. Together, we can help spread awareness, reduce stigma, and remind our community that help and hope are always available.

Yesterday, members of the Binghamton Fire Department, both on and off duty, gathered at Fire Headquarters with Mayor Jared Kraham to officially kick off our 5th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser.

Throughout the month of October, our on-duty members will wear special breast cancer awareness shirts in place of their regular uniform shirts to help raise awareness and show support for those affected by breast cancer.

Now in our fifth year, this fundraiser has raised more than $6,000 in support of the fight against breast cancer.

We’re proud to continue this tradition and grateful to our members, families, friends, and community who have supported the fundraiser over the past five years.
