We're grateful to be at the Montana Farmers Union Convention this weekend here in Bozeman! Thank you for the opportunity to share a few words about the movement and for everyone who's creating a space for honest and authentic conversations about mental health in our homes, farms, ranches, and communities.

Courtney Brown Kibblewhite we will be in Jordan tomorrow night getting vulnerable…Hope to see you there!

🌮🌾 LET’S TACO ’BOUT DROUGHT! 🌾🌮

The Garfield County Conservation District and Garfield County Montana Extension Office invites you to join us for an afternoon of education, conversation, and good food focused on something our agricultural community knows all too well..... DROUGHT!

📅 Thursday, September 10
⏰ Presentations begin at 3:00 PM
📍 VFW Hall – Jordan, Montana
🌮 Taco Bar Dinner begins at 6:00 PM!

We’ll have FOUR different presenters joining us to cover topics that can help farmers and ranchers navigate the challenges that come along with dry conditions.

🧠 Mental Health Resources for Farmers & Ranchers
Drought doesn't only affect the land, livestock, and bottom line — it can take a toll on the people behind the operation, too. Learn about mental health resources and support available specifically for our agricultural community.
🐄 Cattle Supplementation & Body Condition Scoring
Learn more about evaluating body condition and making supplementation decisions when drought affects available forage and nutrition.
🌾 Forage Quality & Noxious Weeds
We'll talk about forage quality during challenging growing conditions, what producers should be watching for, and noxious w**d concerns that can impact our rangelands and livestock.
🌦️ Monitoring Drought the Montana Way
Learn how drought is monitored here in Montana, where our information comes from, and how local conditions and producer observations can help tell the story of what's actually happening on the ground.

And after an afternoon of learning, we're going to TACO 'BOUT IT over dinner! 🌮🤠

Whether you're currently dealing with drought impacts, want to be better prepared for the next dry spell, or simply want to learn more about the resources available to Montana producers, we would love to have you join us!

🌮 Come hungry for information... and stay hungry for TACOS! 🌮

Please help us spread the word and share with your fellow farmers, ranchers, neighbors, and friends!

“God may give you more than you can handle…but he’ll never give you more than your community can handle. That’s what the agricultural community does.”
