On October 2nd, we are hosting our Biannual Accessibility forum! With a focus on breaking down barriers and improving accessibility rights, resources, and infrastructure for our disabled veterans. An important conversation like this takes a community to bring to life, and we are looking for volunteers to help us run the event smoothly. We need folks to welcome attendees at registration, hand out schedules, and assist panel speakers during the presentation. Volunteers will also play a key role in guiding guests through the venue, and helping our team with the general event setup and breakdown.

The forum will take place 12:00 pm October 2nd at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center. If interested please send us a direct message or email us at [email protected]

There’s something really special about seeing a piece of someone’s childhood become part of someone else’s story.

This adaptive bike belonged to Mitch when he was a kid. It gave him the freedom to get outside, have fun, and enjoy the same kinds of adventures every kid deserves. Now, years later, it’s ready to give that same independence and joy to another child.

That’s what accessibility looks like. It’s more than ramps, accessible doors, or parking spaces. It’s making sure people of all abilities have the chance to play, explore, participate, and simply be kids.

For Mitch, seeing this bike continue its journey is a meaningful full-circle moment. For us at AccessBillings, it’s a reminder of why this work matters so much.

Accessibility creates opportunity—and sometimes, those opportunities keep rolling forward for generations.

We are hosting our Annual Accessibility Awareness Forum and want to center your voices. Your unique experiences can help our community understand barriers and build a more inclusive future. We are currently looking for veterans from any branch of service who are willing to speak on a panel or share a short presentation about their journey, challenges, and insights on accessibility.
The event will take place on Friday October 2nd 2026 at 12 pm at the Billings hotel & Convention center

By sharing your story, you can help educate local leaders, advocate for better accessibility standards, and connect with other veterans in the area. We want to ensure our community hears directly from those who have served.
