💜 Disabled people deserve personal space. 💜

This might seem obvious, but it's something many disabled people deal with regularly.

People start to push wheelchairs without asking.

Full-grown adults stand so close to a wheelchair user that they can't actually move without running over a foot.

Children are encouraged to pet service dogs without permission.

Strangers reach over, touch, or move adaptive equipment as though it were public property.

For some reason, when disability enters the picture, personal boundaries often disappear.

Disabled people do not stop being entitled to personal space simply because we use mobility aids or other adaptive equipment.

Respecting personal boundaries isn't just polite. It helps keep people safe.

Everyone deserves dignity.

💬 What's the strangest or most frustrating way someone has invaded your personal space because of your disability? 💬
