Hantavirus is making the news. Protect yourself and your relatives!

While risk is low, to prevent potential exposure, eliminate or minimize contact with rodents in your home or workplace. Wear personal protective equipment like gloves and masks. Seal holes and gaps in your home or garage to keep rodents from entering these spaces. Place traps in and around your home. Clean up any easy-to-get food that might attract rodents, and spray down surfaces with sanitizing spray.

There is still time to register for Healing the Land, Feeding the Spirit, on June 2-3, 2026, at the Billings Depot located in downtown Billings, MT: https://form.jotform.com/253514105292046. This gathering brings together Tribal Nations from across the Rocky Mountain region and beyond to share knowledge centered on traditional foods, food sovereignty, holistic healing, and cultural practices.

This year, we are honored to highlight two Indigenous food trailblazers: Mariah Gladstone (Blackfeet) and Kimberly Tilsen-Brave Heart (Oglala Lakota). Their work uplifts Indigenous foodways, strengthens community health, and carries forward traditions rooted in sovereignty and resilience.
