Kindness...

While journaling this a.m. in my Bible time, I messed up a word. I hate scribbling out words, because it doesn’t look pretty, lol. I had bought erasable ink pens. Something about erasing the ink is satisfying. I have to erase my mistakes a lot! It made me think about how Jesus erases our mistakes, all we have to do is ask. If we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness, he erases it for us. When you write a word and erase it, the word does not come back on its own, you have to write it again, but the second time, you get a chance to write it correctly. It’s such a good feeling and looks so much better than the first time. God erases our mistakes and never brings them back. He gives us chances to fix them. The devil likes to bring them up and make you feel shame and guilt. I love the thought that Jesus is like the eraser, right there ready to erase my mistake. We have such a loving God that wants to pour grace and mercy over us. All we have to do is ask. “Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid, there is no more disgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth..” Isaiah 54:4. Funny how I had this scripture in my plans to read…after this thought came to me. ❤️
