Presenting two new covers we designed for books by author Ann Joslin Williams, published by Islandport Press. The challenge was to make the two books seem like "cousins." We selected the paintings of Theresa Lagrange (Skyland) and Amanda Hawkins Bitner (Cascom).

I loved working on this cover design and interior for this book of Wanda Coleman's American Sonnets with editor-extraordinaire Joshua Bodwell.

BEHIND THE SCENES (or DRAWINGS). I was incredibly honored to be able to spiff up the drawings for Joan Baez's book of drawings AM I PRETTY WHEN I FLY? The book was beautifully designed by Alex Camlin / Design and published by Godine.

I show a couple of originals and the adjustments made to improve the quality for print without losing Joan's spontaneous quality. One is a cell phone snap!
