USACHR is grateful to Stephan Sargsyan for supporting the work of committee in completing the 2024 Annual Report in Armenian format. Stephan Sargsyan’s Comment…. Over the course of the last several months I worked actively with USCIRF to convey to its members Azerbaijan’s egregious record towards its Christian Armenians. Specifically, the illegal detention and imprisonment of Armenians and the destruction of Christian monuments and churches as a systematic state policy were highlighted through factual documentation and reporting. Today, I am happy to report that all my work bore fruit, since Azerbaijan has been elevated to the status of a country of particular concern and presented to the State Department for further action.

I want to extend a special THANK YOU to USCIRF Commissioner David Curry for championing this effort.

The California Armenian Legislative Caucus Foundation (Sacramento, CA)- Sent a letter to President Joe Biden requesting him to make every effort to send aid, relief, and peacekeeping to the Armenians in both Nagorno Karabakh and the displaced Armenians from Nagorno Karabakh arriving in Armenia. The United States immediate assistance is needed during this humanitarian crisis to ensure that international human rights violations do not continue.
