UPDATE: the Velcro’d shoe stayed on all night long! I added a bell boot so Poppy didn’t accidentally pull it off while walking!!!! Eeeeek I’m so happy!

Arts and crafts day 💕
The duct tape boot I made for Pop lasted a couple of days. I thought to myself, there has to be a better way. Sooooo I glued velcro onto a glue on shoe and to Poppy’s hoof. Let’s see how long this will last!!!

Stall rest for 10 days and now back to the round pen for a week or so, depending on the weather of course. I’m hoping after a couple farrier visits she’ll be good to go 🤞🏻💜

My sweet girl Poppy has been off the last few days. Weds eve she tried colic-ing, had her up in less than 20 mins, hung out for an hour releasing any tension in her belly, moved her into the round pen and fed her soaked dinner w mineral oil. Thursday she still wasn’t 100% and I noticed she was walking super wonky. Shes been chillin in the round pen for days now..Monday will be vet check, fingers crossed she’ll be ok ❤️‍🩹

I met a really great couple a few weeks while working at House of Cards. They were celebrating their 1yr anniversary ❤️ and once they found out I owned and operated a rescue, they wanted to volunteer! So yesterday was the day…Brittany and I bathed 3 out of 5 horses and Jim put up 2 shade cloths in the stalls. It was a great day, perfect weather, the pups were well behaved except when they chased sassy Sadie and the horses were great too. Though I did get popped in the cheek by Montana’s big hard head, I was trying to free him from stepping on the lead rope, when pop goes his head and I nearly saw stars ✨ Thank you Brittany and Jim 💜 you 2 are welcomed out here anytime!!!

This little cutie is my deaf and extremely photogenic Stitch ❤️. Nearly 3 yrs ago we had a super scare with him and learned he’s hypoglycemic 🥺 so Stitch gets fed 4 times a day! He loves it and lets you know when it’s snack time lol and the other pups…⬇️❤️🥰

Woohoo another project 95% complete, need to take down the old fans and then it’ll be perfect! Hank, Minnie, and I tackled this one lol. The pups were not much help but they’re cute 🥰

With the help of my mom and niece we were able to complete a project!!!!!
My brother built this lean to nearly 2 years ago and today we finally finished it!!! Added panels of metal to waterproof it so Mr. Montana can have a much needed fan ❤️
